Sandra Winther is a New York-based director focused on capturing the stories and pulse of her vibrant youth, culture and subcultures. Born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, Sandra moved to New York in 2013 where she began her film career as an editor. Now, as a director, Sandra’s style builds off her narrative techniques while incorporating a documentary intimacy with still and moving images.

Sandra has created films for clients such as Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Versace, Beats By Dre, MTV, Hugo Boss, Coach, i-D, Vogue and V Magazine. Her latest documentary series for i-D gives a voice to local heroes who are building community through sport. As part of Sibling Rivalry’s roster, Sandra challenges herself, clients and brands to create work that has rawness and authenticity and to explore new ways to tell stories.
